With the support of Girl Scout Cookies, our youth members can do anything.
With the proceeds from their cookie sales, Girl Scout Cadette Troop 62447 from Hingham purchased the supplies needed to build and donate two prosthetic hands. They partnered with LN4 Hand Project, an organization that provides prosthetic hands to “anyone in need, anywhere in the world.” LN4 Hand Project’s work has impacted residents of 95+ countries, where they have donated more than 177,000 hands over the past 19 years.
As a girl-led organization, our Girl Scouts are given the agency to do what they wish with their cookie money. This can result in the purchasing of new uniforms, donating to a local animal shelter, or funding a special trip. No matter what our Girl Scouts choose to do with their earnings, we are proud to provide the opportunity for them to learn goal setting, money management, people skills, decision making, and business ethics. For our cookie entrepreneurs, those lessons are priceless.
